HISTORY
Ballyliffin Golf Club was established at a meeting in Ballyliffin on April 2nd 1947.
Lands at Pollan Green were leased from local farmers for a 9 hole course and the Strand Hotel was the clubhouse.
In 1970, after protracted negotiations, the club bought the current lands for the princely sum of £5000.
The Old Links, initially developed as a 9 hole layout opened as an 18 hole course in 1973.
The Glashedy Links was opened in 1995 and the current clubhouse was opened in 2000.
The Glashedy Links has hosted the European Tour 2018 DDF Irish Open, the 2016 Irish Close Championship and Boys Home Internationals, The Interprovincial Championships in 2006, the European Tour North West of Ireland Open in 2002 and the Ladies Irish Open in 1998. The Old Links hosted the European Tour Irish Seniors Open in 2008 and the Girls Irish Close in 2013.
