Hole 1

Par 4. Index: Men - 8, Ladies - 6.  Trickier than it seems. A brave long hitter can take on the trees on the left for a perfect position well down the fairway. Most mere mortals hope to be short of the trees on the right. A difficult 2nd shot to a green sloping left.

Hole 2

Picture

Par 4. Index: Men - 4, Ladies - 8. A slight dogleg right. An easy enough drive but a difficult 2nd to a green well protected by bunkers.

hole 3

Par 5. Index: Men - 10, Ladies - 2. You must be straight. A difficult drive with water on the right and trees on the left. Your 2nd shot needs to avoid the trees right and left. Don’t end up behind the green.

hole 4

Par 4. Index: Men - 16, Ladies - 14.  A short par 4 but your drive must be straight. Just left of the right fairway bunker is fine. On a good day a big hitter who hits well left can make the green but with a fairway that slopes vigorously toward water on the right it might not be worth the risk.

hole 5

Par 3. Index: Men - 14, Ladies - 16. This hole plays longer than you expect so maybe go an extra club. Anything short of the green will roll back down the slope toward a steep hazard. Short right or left are also in trouble.

hole 6

Picture

Par 5. Index Men - 12, Ladies - 10. The key on this hole is the approach shot to the green. An approach shot short and right of the green will end up in the water.

hole 7

Par 3. Index: Men - 18, Ladies - 18. This hole is not as easy as the index suggests. You need to reach the green. Out of bounds on the left, water on the right and bunkers front and left.

hole 8

Picture

Par 4 for Men, Par 5 for Ladies. Index: Men - 2, Ladies - 12 . A long hole. The right and left fairway bunkers are reachable. Aim your approach shot to the right side of the green. Anything landing  left will roll into the bunker.

hole 9

Par 4. Index: Men - 6, Ladies - 4. Your drive needs to be on the right side of the fairway. Allow for a deceptive uphill on your approach shot. Miss the green on the left and you could to be in water.

Par 3. Index: Men - 9, Ladies - 13. Aim for the centre of the green. Don’t take on a back right pin.

hole 11

Par 4. Index: Men - 3, Ladies - 11. A leftward drive will roll down the hill and be blocked by trees. No option but to lay up to the fairway. Even a perfect drive offers a very difficult 2nd shot down the hill. Anything left of the green is in the water.

hole 12

Picture

Par 4. Index: Men - 1, Ladies - 1. A difficult drive to a fairway bounded by a river on the left. A very good drive may allow a shot across the water. The right green-side bunkers are well placed. Aim for the left side of the green.

hole 13

Par 3. Index: Men - 15, Ladies - 15. Don’t underestimate this hole. A saucer green that’s hard to hold protected by a bunker at the front and hazards right and left.
Picture

hole 14

Picture

Par 5. Index: Men - 7, Ladies - 7. The fairway slopes toward the river on the right. You must keep left all the way down this fairway. Right of the green has a sharp fall to the water and if the pin is in the back right - take it on at your peril.

hole 15

Index: Men - 11, Ladies - 9. Looks easy but from the tee you are visually drawn toward the trees on the right. There is no option from here but to punch the ball back out to the fairway.
Picture

hole 16

Picture

Par 3. Index: Men - 17, Ladies - 17. It’s a wind tunnel from green to tee but you can’t feel it from the tee box.

hole 17

Par 5. Index: Men - 5, Ladies - 3. A dogleg left. A long drive over the trees rewards a big hitter with an opportunity to go for it but only if the wind is behind. Don't be left of the green on your approach.
Picture

hole 18

Picture

Par 4. Index: Men - 13, Ladies - 5. After a good drive down the middle you can have a go. But water awaits an approach shot  going right and the green is protected by overhanging trees.
